According to the report, there are only 13 countries that lag behind India in the Hunger Index. Included Countries like these Rwanda ( 097 ), Nigeria ( 098 ), Afghanistan ( 099 ), Libya ( 102 ), Mozambique ( 103 ), Chad ( 107 ).

Malnutrition in India

According to the report, about 14% of India’s population is malnourished. Malnutrition among children in India is appalling. Similarly, 20 to 34.9 points in the report means a severe hunger crisis. 35 to 49.9 points in the report means the condition is very challenging and 50 or more points means that there is a very terrible state of hunger in the country. India got 30.3 points in this report. This number means that there is a severe hunger crisis in India.
